Jim Shipley was born and raised in Ontario but a road trip to the Rocky Mountain National Parks has made him a resident of Calgary since 1978. He has climbed scores of mountains since then, mostly on foot but sometimes on skis. He continues to feed his love of adventure, mostly between Banff, Jasper and Kananaskis Parks, but sometimes veering as far away as Canada's West Coast.
